HOW DO I CHOOSE ONE (or two)?

The 8mm "Silkworm" is for kids. The double braid yacht rope that it's made from is thinner and lighter than adult the Flow Ropes. The stopper knot handles are commensurately smaller to fit smaller hands. The Silkworm is designed to grow with your child, it can be shortened to fit very easily by tying a knot or two in the rope and then lengthened - as your child grows - by untying the knots. More on this below.

The 10mm "Flying Squirrel" is a great first Flow Rope for adults. It does everything you need it to do, and it does it well. It is relatively light weight and will get your body accustomed to Flow Roping. Also, it's compact and easy to take with you on walks or longer trips. Great for spontaneous Flow!

The 14mm "Flying Fox" will also suit most adults. It fills the hands nicely. It is a little heavier, with more body, and will give you something to feel your way in to and explore. Another fantastic first Flow Rope!

The "Flying Squirrel" and "Flying Fox" make a nice combination if you fancy having two ropes.

You might just want to go for it and add in... the "Yeti"!

At 18mm, the "Yeti" is a probably rope for those a bit further along their journey. The stopper-knot handles are very chunky, so feel quite different to the other smaller diameter ropes. It's weightier, you'll feel the extra oomph. Probably not a first rope, it will find bits of your body that you may not have noticed before!

There's no reason not to use all three - it makes for richer encounters along the way. I find myself switching between all the Flow Ropes that I have, up to 40mm in diameter.

The length of the Flow Rope between the knot handles is not as important as you might think. There is no perfect length.

A rope is unlikely to be too short except if you are over 6'2" in which case I can make you a slightly longer one, for no extra charge.

If it is too long, simply tie a knot - or two - a hand space below the knot handles. This is standard practice. You can use one or two overhand knots, or figure of eight knots for even more shortening effect. Have a look at my KNOTS blog post.

You can have any colour rope so long as it's white! However, you can choose the colour of the paracord whippings that I use to finish-off the ends. Here's a blog post on the subject: COLOURFUL WHIPPINGS
