When I make a Flow Rope, I do three things to help prevent the ends of the braid on braid yacht rope from fraying or unravelling.
I first use an heat knife specifically designed for cutting through polyester rope which melts and seals it at the same time. I then bind the ends with self amalgamating tape. Lastly, to add additional strength and some colour I whip the ends with paracord.
When you order a Flow Rope I can send a photo of the colours I have available at the time and you can choose one that suits you. Broadly speaking I keep pink, red, blue, yellow, black, white, green and multi-coloured to hand.
